Monkey Themed 1st Birthday

Aditi and I went to high school together and reconnected on Facebook. When it came time to plan her daughter Jiya’s 1st birthday, she contacted me to enlist my planning services. She is in the medical field and admitted to not being creative at all and wanted some assistance with her daughter’s monkey themed birthday. They call her daughter “monkey” so choosing the theme was easy. We went with an orange and purple color palette.

The party took place in Aditi’s parents’ home. This is the front courtyard area:

Peridot Sweets created an adorable two tiered birthday cake along with a “smash” cake for Jiya for her first cake!

We utilized the backyard for the guest tables. We weren’t fortunate enough with the weather that day so some of the guests chose to stay inside.

There was a banana split station. Wasn’t that appropriate?

I love this high chair sign that read “I am 1″.

Isn’t Jiya so beautiful in her sari and gold jewelry?

I’m pretty sure this cake by Tiffany of Peridot Sweets would have made the perfect display piece at my Alice in Wonderland themed baby shower in 2010. But, since I’m not a “cake person”, I told my friends I didn’t need a cake. They shouldn’t have listened to me!

Isn’t the detail on this cake amazing?? Tiffany’s cakes also taste delicious too!

This superhero cake is adorable!

And, anyone with kids knows Yo Gabba Gabba!

Mother-Daughter Tea Party 2011 at Loews Lake Las Vegas

For our 1st Annual Mother-Daughter Tea Party this year, we decided on a garden themed event with spring colors, birdcages, butterflies and birds. We then gave our four florists complete creative freedom to design centerpieces for our event! Here are the beautiful arrangements they designed!

Mother-Daughter Charity Tea Event

We have been asked to participate and assist with the planning of (hopefully) the 1st Annual Mother-Daughter Charity Tea Event. A high school classmate of mine and mother of two young girls approached me recently about this idea and we are so excited to be involved!

Our charity event is open to all mothers with daughters under the age of 5. The event is scheduled for the first weekend of April and will benefit the Living Grace Home. More details to come.

Over the next few weeks, we will showcase all of the wonderful companies who have graciously donated their time, products, or services.

Alice in Wonderland Themed Baby Shower

My husband and I had our co-ed Alice in Wonderland Themed baby shower last month! Everything looked adorable and we had such a great time. I’m so happy that our good friend Sara was able to put together such a beautiful event with the help of my associate Angelica!

Thank you Teresa and the rest of the fabulous team at Enchanted Florist for all the fun and colorful floral arrangements. Our good friends Liz and Jean lent their Pottery Shop to us for the evening and Liz even hand painted an Alice in Wonderland platter!

Our party was recently featured on the Pepper Design Blog! We can’t thank Chelsea Nicole enough for her generosity and for capturing these special moments! I love our photos!

Thank you to all of our family and friends who came by to celebrate with us!
